QR Code & Pickup Up for Others
You will receive an email with your QR code 30 minutes before pickup. Show it on your phone to scan; no printout needed. You may pick up packets for others, but you MUST show their forwarded QR code.
Race Packet Shipping
Shipping is available as an add-on until the cutoff date. Registered participants will receive a reminder email when the deadline approaches. Packets ship via USPS First Class mail about 2 weeks before the event. Once scanned by USPS, you will receive an automated email with tracking.

The race day schedule is tentative and subject to change. If any changes are made to the published schedule we will notify all registered participants via email.

9:00a - 5k / 10k / Nearly Half mass start begins. PLEASE NOTE: In order to be eligible for awards you must be part of the mass start. Once the chute clears we will begin the rolling start.

9:15a to 10:00a - 5k / 10k rolling start. PLEASE NOTE: Relax and start the race anytime you'd like between 9:15a and 10a. If you take advantage of the rolling start, you are not eligible for awards and you must be able to complete the distance by the course cutoff.

Course Description
The course starts and finishes on Texas Ave next to Fish Plaza. Runners will start heading westbound on Texas Ave until it merges with Memorial Dr then Memorial Pkwy. 5k runners will turnaround just before Montrose and head eastbound on Memorial Pkwy back towards the finish at Fish Plaza. Nearly Half and 10k runners will continue westbound on Memorial Pkwy until just before Detering St and will then turnaround, heading eastbound on Memorial Pkwy back towards the finish at Fish Plaza. Nearly Half runners will start their second loop on Bagbt and will complete teh entire 10k course again.
Course Cutoff: 11:30am
All runners must be off the course by 11:30am. There are additional cutoffs for the Nearly Half Marathon. Runners who do not complete the course in the alotted time may be picked up and brought back to the finish line.
- 2nd loop must be started: 10:15am
- Turnaround on Detering: 10:45am

🏆 Awards
The following awards will be given in the 5k, 10k, and Nearly Half events. Overall, Masters, and Grandmasters will be determined by gun time (the elapsed time based on when the race begins) and will be pulled from their respective age groups (no double dipping). Age group awards will be determined by chip time (the elapsed time based on when the runner crosses the start line).

A virtual race option is available if you are unable to attend the live event. Virtual events are a great opportunity to get out and be active while still competing against your peers on your own time without travelling to the race site.
Submitting Your Results

Results my be submitted at any time during the submission period running from January 1, 2027 at 12a to January 31, 2027 at 11:59p. The simplest way to submit your results would be using the RaceJoy app because your results and distance will be submitted automatically. Alternatively, you can submit your results by clicking the link below to go to the Results page, clicking the Submit Virtual Results button, and completing the form. Virtual Race Packet
Virtual race packets will be shipped via USPS First Class mail with tracking once the submission period has ended. You will receive an automated email with your tracking information once your packet is scanned at the post office.
To ensure a great experience for all in attendance we ask that all participants follow these basic race etiquetter practices to ensure a fun event for all.

While on the course, please stay as far rights as possible and run/walk no more than two abreast to leave room for others.

No pets are allowed on the course or at the race site.

Strollers and walkers are more than welcome, we just ask that you start at the back of the chute and tak extra caution on the race course.

Headphones are allowed but, in the interest of safety, it is highly recommended that you only use them in one ear keeping your other ear open.

Make sure you wear your bib on the front and on the outermost layer of clothing. This will help ensure that your timing chip will be read at the start, finish, and any on-course splits and will help photographers tag you in your FREE race photos.

Inclement Weather
The race will go on rain or shine and no decisions regarding cancellation, rescheduling, or course changes will be made until the morning of the event. If a major weather event occurs or is being planned in the days leading up to the event, a decision may need to be made prior to the event setup but that will be only for extreme cases, not forecasted rain or storms. In the event of extreme weather, further details will be provided via email to all registered participants and linked on the Houston Resolution Run's social media pages, @houstonresolutionrun.
